I understand that this probably wasn't the brightest idea in the world, and I'm not sure writing on your penis is the way to avoid erection, or whatever he was trying to do, nor would I recommend that anybody else write their deity's name on their member - but isn't it possible that this Warren guy was well-intentioned? I could see someone thinking that'd be a good idea, if a bit mislead. It seems he plead guilty - but does that mean he did it for pedophilic purposes? I mean indecent exposure is still a crime whether it's done in the name of Jesus or homoerotic pedastry... It may be that he is indeed a sick bastard, but then why does the journalist not even feel it's worth mentioning?

So there's a name change here... Hmmm... I guess this is what ruling by fiat is like. I have to thank G-d once more I live under the Stars and Stripes in the US of A. Happy 4th all, if I don't get a chance to post tomorrow.

Rabbi Riskin visited Milwaukee this past weekend and told me of his most recent plans. He had met with President Bush last week and advised him to help him in pushing this idea forward. The idea basically is that the time has come now for some major Muslim leaders to speak out agaisnt suicide bombings. Specifically, he has been in heavy contact with the imam of Hebron and this former Hamas member has "developed a human side." Riskin believes that he is willing to sign on to a document, and get others to follow, declaring that not only will suicide bombing not lead to heavenly reward, but to damnation. This would be combined with weekly sermons preaching the same message. Unfortunately the opposite is true now. Almost to an imam, world-wide, Friday after Friday, vitriolic messages of harm to Israelis and Jews spews forth from Muslim pulpits (with the notably honorable exception of Imam Palazzi of Rome). Here's to hoping that Riskin's plan works and is able to cast a seed of doubt into the minds of would-be suicide terrorists. The other kind are at least easier to deal with.
